RIPPLES IN THE SKY

Was released as Area Five's second debut single released in 2019. The song serves as a ballad dedicated to the girlfriend of Jose but also turned into the band's way of letting their listeners know that it's okay to go through tough times when we have pink skies to look up to at sunset. The song just so happened to be conceptualized during sunset when Jose was still courting his girlfriend of 3 years (and counting).

ANOTHER FOREVER

Another Forever was released back in february 2019 as the debut single of Area Five. The song features jazz rock and indie rock influences and was conceltualized while Benjo and Jose were sitting around in the attic of Benjo's house. To this day, the members of Area Five still consider this song to be one of their favorite songs to play live.

wake up city

Wake Up City is Area Five's latest release and the first to debut for this historic year, 2020. Despite the struggles with COVID-19, Area Five continued with its release and meant for this song to be the push of confidence people need when they're down and demotivated to chase their dreams. The band has always struggled with hard times and discouraging moments. But if there's one thing they've learned as a band, it's that no one succeeds at first, we only need to wake up and smell the flowers.

for you

For You was the first song Area Five ever wrote way back in 2014. It was the most exciting time of our lives. The song was inspired by each members escapades with romance. In a humorous way we all shared struggles and defeats in courtships for different reasons. So collectively it became a "What If" ballad for the day we would actually have a chance to speak from our hearts to the women we care for. This song inspired the band to take the indie music scene a bit more seriously and based the song writing process on each members experiences and feelings. For You was only the beginning for a small band of brothers like Area Five.
