My journey in being a musician started with a song by Taylor Swift - The Story of Us. The drum parts were just too catchy that I had to learn how to play it. I did not have a drum kit to use at first but my uncle coincidentally bought one when I was just starting to take interest in playing. So before that happened, I resorted to air-drumming to satisfy my interest. Hence, when I was able to use my uncle's drum kit, I had the basics down already. One by one, I learned to play all the songs that I listen to.

Moving on to high school days was when I first met Benjo. We were classmates back then and eventually formed multiple bands at school. It was an experimental phase in music for me since I was exposed to a lot people who have varying tastes in music that are crammed into one band room once a week to perform and share their talents. Eventually, Benjo offered me the position of drummer in this band called Area Five. At first I was just testing the waters, played a few gigs, and wrote stuff here and there.

That went on until I had a chance to play the drums for the Kundirana music ministry where I developed my musicality exponentially because we rehearsed almost everyday tackling a wide variety of genres and had gigs in different places quite often. We even went to the USA for almost a month to perform there. Benjo followed me in the ministry a year later and I believe that our chemistry and skills had notable developments during that chapter of our lives. After that, we decided to take Area Five seriously. We recorded and put up some songs in Spotify and even got featured in Wish 107.5 (a popular radio show among the youth in the Philippines) which all eventually brought us to where we are right now... wherever this is HAHAHAHA!
