Ever since I was little, I was always fond of music. In fact I thought it was completely ridiculous to me if someone told me that they didn’t like music, my response was always that they haven’t found the right kind of music yet (until later on I realized that some people really don’t like music… ikr?).

I've always had a different appreciation for the art; it wasn’t just always about the vocalist. Every single element of the song was something I was interested in, the arrangement, the feeling of the melodies and even the small background sounds that no one can even hear. So because of this I was determined enough to keep writing my own songs with Jose because he had the same vision as me. We were always those people who preferred writing our own music than playing other people’s songs because to us it just felt more personal (and if ever we play it live no one would know if we played something wrong haha).

Even if my first instrument that I really learned how to play in the band was the Bass, it didn’t stop me from becoming the key song writers for Area Five, I knew enough guitar just to be able to make songs with Jose and we’d just go back and forth with the idea and we’d finish the song. Even if I never really learned (formally) how to play and compose music, I somehow can still do it. Though it may not be on a really high level capacity than other skilled musicians, it’s something that I’m still proud of.
